BUKI'S GARDEN
Buki looked different. In fact, she looked downright odd.
So odd, that sometimes when people first saw her, they didn’t think she was kitty at all. Some folks even thought Buki was a Gremlin... And Gremlins are SCARY!!!
Gremlins are imaginary creatures from old, old fairy tales. They have big, crazy eyes and crazy spiky hair and when they get wet...well then they get really mean and really frightening and do bad, bad things.
Now really, Buki didn’t look anything like a Gremlin. She just looked different from a few other kitties.
Some of the other animals made fun of Buki and that hurt her feelings.
It always hurts when someone makes fun of you because of how you look, or because you are different somehow, especially because each and every person or animal is different somehow. Some people and animals just don’t understand that.
